Through the Erasmus Programme you are able to undertake a study period of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 12 months in a extra European University. Erasmus+ allows students to undertake more than one mobility period for each course of studies. A total of 12 months of mobility are permitted during 3-year degrees, Masters courses, PhD/specialist courses and a total of 24 months during courses that last 5 years or longer.

During your Erasmus study period you can: • attend courses, sit exams, conduct research activities in preparation for a thesis • such activities may be accompanied by an internship Upon your return, the activities that you have carried out abroad will be officially recognised by the University of Pavia. You can receive an Erasmus contribution to cover part of the expenses related to your study perio.

You can choose between the Host University offered by your Faculty by consulting the annual call for application.

To take part, you must apply for the Erasmus+ ICM call which is published every year between January and February. It allows you to carry out the mobility during the following academic year. The Erasmus+ Call for studies 2021/22 will be published in January/February 2021.

  • Carefully read the Call for application, additional Area requirements and verify to have the candidacy requirements.

  • Fill in the online application

  • Attend the language tests (except in the case of exemption).

  • Attend the selection interviews for your Erasmus Area (if applicable).

  • Register at your host institution by following the instructions, processes and deadlines of the host university

  • Check entry rules in your host country consulting the relevant embassy or consulate in Italy. Find out about the healthcare system of the host country by consulting the ATS or the country’s embassy or consulate in Italy.
  • Read the information sheet for outgoing students and sign the declaration of risk assumption and disclaimer:

  • Fill in your learning agreement:

    • Contact the coordinator for your Erasmus Area in order to agree the Learning Agreement (study programme for abroad).
    • Download and fill in a copy of the Learning published on the Erasmus fos studies website
    • Sign it, have it signed by your Erasmus Coordinator and send it by email to the International Mobility Office:
      • before 3rd July 2020 if you wish to spend the first semester or full academic year abroad
      • before 20th November 2020 if you wish to spend the second semester abroad
