The project aims to promote the modernization, expand the availability, and develop the internationalization of higher education in partner countries; promote intercultural and interpersonal exchange, and voluntary convergence with the trends in higher education development in the EU.
All consortium partners have a strong focus on technology and engineering and act as regional centers for the implementation of national strategies for the training of professionals.
The issue of training professionals for the real sector of the economy has arisen due to the immense development of high technologies, shortening the period from development to implementation, and increasing technological demands of society. As a result, new approaches to the development of curricula that are sensitive and flexible to the needs of businesses based on innovations have emerged.
This challenge is common to all regions involved in the implementation of the project: the EU, Russia, and Asia. To address this challenge during the course of the project, the partners will:
- Identify the needs, select key professions and training areas;
- Develop and modernize study programs that implement the principles of dual education under the guidance of European experts;
- Initiate new or improved study programs, combining periods of study with training periods at leading enterprises;
- Create a system of continuous professional development;
- Establish communication and resource centers at partner universities.
The main result of the project will be the updating/development of curricula in engineering trades. This will be possible through the development of methodological guidelines on professions and qualifications based on the analysis of the economic needs of three regions. These results will be available to all stakeholders through the created communication and resource centers, the project website, and through open communication among partners that ensures the reliability and high quality of the project results.
