The Dirasat project seeks to improve the university research governance in Tunisia by promoting dialogue and scientific cooperation between the actors of the Tunisian national research system.

In particular, it aims at strengthening the capacities of strategic monitoring and scientific foresight process through the improvement of the universities staff’s skills, enhancing the visibility of university research, and developing interactions between the research environment and the socio-economic environment.

Dirasat will reach its objectives by highlighting the new technologies in higher education needed to develop this sector and its links with society by creating a Network of universities, research units and centres, and laboratories at a national level.

The main target groups of the project’s actions are the universities’ leaders, administrative and academic staff, researchers, doctoral students, and representatives of general society, such as policymakers and other national and local institutions, who will actively participate in the cooperation workshop planned by the project.
