The University of Pavia promotes several initiatives of virtual mobility as a new way of preparing, integrating or completing a period of physical mobility and as a tool for facing the obstacles to physical mobility.

University of Pavia organizes Blended Intensive Programmes together with the different university department.
A Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is a course that combines physical and virtual learning organized by at least three different higher education institutions from Europe and funded by the Erasmus+ mobility programme.

Participants should consult with their international office before taking part in the programme in order to establish how to access Erasmus+ travel funds for the week in Pavia.  Check with your international office.

Recognition of blended and virtual mobility

Students selected for a period of mobility for the 2020/21 academic year can start the mobility in “virtual” mode,  and then complete it with a period of activity in presence abroad (physical mobility) as soon as the sanitary conditions will allow it.

In case the ongoing restrictions required due to the epidemiologic emergency do not allow participants to complete the mobility with a period of activity in presence abroad, a full period of virtual mobility can be considered.
Students will also have the chance to follow the online courses offered by the University of Pavia. This way, they will have the possibility to study and take exams both at the hosting University and at their home University. Full recognition will be granted also for the results obtained in all the activities undertaken both during the virtual mobility period and the physical one.
