The University of Pavia has many cooperation agreements with foreign universities.

AGREEMENTS

  • Memorandum of Understanding: states the common commitment of the universities involved to promote joint actions in the fields of education and research. It is a statement of purpose which requires that further specific agreements should be signed in order to implement common goals and objectives.

How to sign a MoU with UNIPV

  • Erasmus+ Interinstitutional Agreements: cooperation agreement which regulates mobility in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme. It determines the outgoing/incoming student and faculty mobility flows between partner universities for study or teaching/training purposes.

Erasmus+ interinstitutional agreements can be signed with:

    • universities based in programme countries (EU countries)
    • universities based in partner countries (non-EU countries)

How to sign an Erasmus agreement with UNIPV

The Erasmus+ Programme provides for the signing of interinstitutional agreements between Eu and non-Eu universities. These agreements are concluded upon a proposal of the teaching staff of UNIPV, or upon a direct proposal of a foreign University. The procedure is different depending on the promoter of the proposal:

  • UNIPV teaching staff
Any faculty member can propose a new partnership with any University. The proposal may stem from personal contacts with colleagues on the staff of a foreign institution, or may be based on the interest in establishing a new collaboration. In both cases, the faculty member must contact the International Mobility Unit which will send the agreement proposal to the Erasmus+ Local Coordinators and to the Institutional Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Programme/ Programme Countries for their approval. Once the proposal has been approved, the International Mobility Unit will send it to the foreign University.
  • Foreign University
Any University intending to establish a new partnership with UNIPV will have to draft an agreement proposal and send it to the International Mobility Unit which will forward it to the Erasmus+ Local Coordinators and to the Institutional Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Programme/ Programme Countries for their approval. If the proposal is approved, the agreement can be signed.

For further information, please contact the International Mobility Unit.
